NFWL Swears in 2008 Chair

Kansas State Representative Judy Morrison was formally installed as Chair of NFWL during a special event on the floor of the House Chamber in the Kansas State Capitol Building.
Speaker Pro Tem Donald Dahl, Majority Leader Ray Merrick, and NFWL President & CEO Robin Read, led the special ceremony to formally install Morrison.
During the Installation Ceremony, Morrison discussed her role as Chair of NFWL's National Task Force on Human Trafficking. Morrison is credited with raising awareness among elected women nationwide about the horrors of human trafficking and how it affects urban and rural communities alike. In 2005 she successfully secured the passage of legislation to curb the spread of human trafficking in Kansas.
Morrison has served in the Kansas State Legislature since 1999. She is currently a member of the Economic Development and Tourism, Federal and State Affairs, and Energy and Utilities Committees. Morrison has been an active member of NFWL during her time in the legislature.
