The National Foundation for Women Legislators is excited to further its mission of empowering elected women who serve at the local and state levels with the promotion of Allison Jensen to Director of Membership-Policy and Programs.

As Director of Membership-Policy and Programs, Jensen will work closely with committee chairs, state directors, and NFWL members to initiate new policy strategies for the organization. She will continue her major role in developing the Annual Conference, Dome Tours and Issue Summits, activities that led to her transition to involvement in policy and programming.

“Her unparalleled enthusiasm is always appreciated by NFWL members and the Board of Directors,” said Executive Director Jody Thomas. “We are thrilled to continue working with her in this expanded role.”

Ms. Jensen’s interest in politics was sparked during her time at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she founded a student advocacy organization and served as the organization’s president. After graduating as an Outstanding Senior, Jensen joined the NFWL in September 2014 and has made substantial contributions since.

Previously, Jensen served as Communications Director, where she was instrumental in enlarging the NFWL’s website and social media platforms. Her dedication and creativity have transformed the organization’s online presence.

“It is truly an honor to work with such inspiring women from across the country,” remarks Jensen. “I am eager to delve into important policy issues and enrich NFWL programs.”
