(ALEXANDRIA, VA) –Representative Leslie Osborn has been selected to serve in leadership for the nation’s oldest non-partisan organization addressing the needs of elected women at all levels of government.

Representative Osborn was recently appointed to serve as the 2016 Oklahoma State Director for the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL).

“At the 2015 NFWL Conference in Oklahoma, I saw first hand how this organization brings elected women together from across the country to create lasting bonds of friendship. I am excited to play a larger role in this mission as the new NFWL State Director for Oklahoma,” said Osborn.

Elected women from across the country will gather in Orlando, Florida from November 16-20, for NFWL’s 2016 Annual Conference to identify effective solutions to some of the nation’s most timely and pressing issues. Providing a non-partisan environment that encourages dialogue and the sharing of information and experiences, women leaders are able to build coalitions, share the concerns of their constituents, and identify out-of-the-box solutions to the most pressing issues facing their communities today.

“We are so proud Representative Osborn has accepted a leadership position in our Foundation,” stated Delaware State Representative Helene Keeley, NFWL’s 2016 Chair. “She will play a key role in aiding women legislators in Oklahoma state lines, as we grow as an organization.”

Osborn begins serving in her new position immediately, and will hold this office through the 2016 year.
