Bylaws

 

It is the policy of the National Foundation for Women Legislators that any provisions of the current bylaws may be altered, amended, or repealed with a two-thirds vote of the NFWL General Membership at the Annual Meeting (Nov. 16, 2016 in Orlando, FL).

The Bylaws Committee ask that any suggested changes be submitted to allison@womenlegislators.org by October 1.

Get Involved in Constitution Day!

Celebrate on September 16!

NFWL is proud to announce our new partnership with the Civics Renewal Network, as we support the movement to promote constitutional and civic literacy.

The Civics Renewal Network is an alliance of 29 organizations that are working together to raise the visibility of civics education, improve the quality of classroom resources and strengthen civic life in the United States. The CRN website makes it easy for teachers, students and citizens of all ages to identify a wide array of resources for young citizens.

  • Constitution Day is a federal observance that recognizes the signing of the United States Constitution on September 17, 1787.
  • Get involved in this annual celebration of our nation’s Constitution by participating in the Civics Renewal Network’s Preamble Challenge, Naturalization Ceremonies, and other Constitution Day activities.
