NOMINATE A Woman Of Excellence

Is there an elected woman who inspires you?

Nominate her to receive NFWL’s Women of Excellence Award. The Elected Women of Excellence Award was created to identify women who have worked tirelessly, often breaking down barriers and overcoming obstacles that once seemed insurmountable, to serve their communities.

Up to two women from each state can be selected as a winner. Each winner will receive a travel scholarship to attend the 2018 Annual Conference in Washington D.C., November 13-17.

New Report from Shared Hope International

This recently-published report outlines the work being done to help victims of sex trafficking in the United States. 

Passing laws to end the criminalization of child sex trafficking survivors can be difficult, but states are rising to the challenge! Seeking Justice, a new report from Shared Hope International, reveals strategies to provide services for victims of sex trafficking in the United States. So far, 23 states & DC have noncriminalization laws for child sex trafficking survivors. Click the button below to read about the progress that has been made and what action still needs to be taken.

Keeping Up With NFWL

We will welcome our fall semester interns, Ayushi and Diana, in the coming weeks. Ayushi is a recent graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in political science. Diana is earning a master’s degree in public administration from the University at Albany. We are excited to have these two ladies with us for the fall semester!
