Registration is now OPEN for the NFWL 2018 Annual Conference November 13-17 at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C. We’ll look at topics ranging from K-12 education, critical infrastructure, occupational licensing, energy, telecommunications, civil discourse, leadership development, healthcare, and more. And we’ll also have some fun!

Don’t forget NFWL offers travel scholarships to cover the cost of attendance for elected women.

SNEAK PEAK: NFWL’s 80th Annual Conference Activities



Our Women of Excellence reception Tuesday night is at the top of the Newseum, with views of the Capitol, and the Embassy of Ghana is hosting us for a reception Wednesday night.  Thursday’s late-night party is a Heineken Happy Hour, complete with games to play.  Friday is the elegant Installation Dinner and Dance, so you won’t want to miss a thing!

Introducing: The 2018 Honorary Conference Chair

Mayor Muriel Bowser serves as Washington, DC’s seventh elected Mayor.  She expanded opportunity across all 8 Wards of DC by strengthening job training programs, and by attracting and retaining jobs in the District.  She is committed to producing, protecting and preserving affordable housing.

The Mayor is committed to making sure every Washingtonian gets a fair shot, including its most vulnerable residents.  In everything she does, the Mayor puts District residents first, and ensures that the city’s priorities match the peoples’ priorities.

Let Us Know Your Insight: NFWL Bylaws

It is the policy of the National Foundation for Women Legislators that any provisions of the current bylaws may be altered, amended, or repealed with a two-thirds vote of the NFWL General Membership at the Annual Meeting (Nov. 13 in Washington, D.C.)

The Bylaws Committee requests all elected women members of NFWL review the current bylaws and submit any suggested changes to tripp@womenlegislators.org by October 15.
