Why is it important to address this issue in your community?

Many students across Arkansas do not receive adequate education when it comes to periods and menstrual disorders. Organizations like APPP are here to help fill that gap. Not only do we help educate young people on periods, we also educate communities across the state on period poverty and its effects.

What are you doing as an elected official to support policy measures that impact period product access?

In 2021, I passed my first bill Act 933. To allow Public schools and charters to use existing funds to purchase period products. I worked on legislation this session to exempt taxes on period products during tax-free weekend.
