Supplies can be dropped off at her district office.

State Sen. Diane Allen (R-Burlington) is urging residents to help those in need in South Carolina following massive flooding in that state over the weekend.

Allen is asking residents to drop off needed supplies at her District Office, located at 504 Route 130 North in Cinnaminson.

The office is collecting the following supplies for the South Carolina flood victims:

  • Bottled Water
  • New Socks
  • Clean Towels
  • Clean Washcloths
  • Clean Blankets
  • A volunteer to donate a truck, and/or a volunteer to transport the supplies to South Carolina on Friday, Oct. 9.
  • Monetary donations of any size are welcome.

Donations must be made by Thursday night, as transportation of supplies begins Friday morning.

“As survivors of Superstorm Sandy, New Jerseyans from every corner of the state can surely empathize with those who have fallen victim to the flooding in South Carolina,” Allen said. “I urge the community to donate these desperately needed supplies, as South Carolina struggles to recover from this historic storm.

Allen chairs the National Foundation of Women Legislators (NFWL).
