Darcy Farwell wins a $3000 college scholarship awarded by the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL).

Georgia Rep. Beasley-Teague served as a mentoring legislator for Farwell and presented her the award at a luncheon during their annual conference.

Teague seems to have really liked taking Farwell under her wing as she had some really nice things to say about the brilliant young lady.

“Darcy is a resilient young woman and her diligent desire to learn is evident to all,” says Teague. “Darcy’s humble leadership style is inspiring. She truly exhibits the NFWL’s core values. I am proud of her outstanding accomplishments, and I look forward to continuing our mentorship.”

Farwell participated in the 19th Annual Bill of Rights Essay Scholarship Contest and was selected as one of the six national winners.
