Tackling Your State’s Payday Loan Problem Lessons from Ohio’s Bipartisan Fix: In 2018, Ohio passed breakthrough bipartisan payday loan reform to protect the budgets of hardworking consumers while maintaining widespread access to credit. The new law promises to save borrowers, who are typically women, $75 million each year. Experts from The Pew Charitable Trusts consumer finance team will break down the key components of Ohio’s Fairness in Lending Act to distill lessons for other states interested in balancing the interests of borrowers and responsible lenders |
